MTIB Service Fee on Import Permit Application

Dear esteemed MFC members,
For your information, MTIB will be imposing a service fee of RM 30.00 for every submitted application for the Import Permit for timber and timber product beginning August 1, 2026 (Saturday).
This is in accordance to Section 20A of the Act 105/ MTIB Act 1973 will provide MTIB the power to impose a fee regarding the service stated above.
At the same time, application for this import permit has to be done before the arrival of the consignment at the port of entry.
The following timber products falling under this jurisdiction are as below:
a) Logs, wood in the rough (4403)
b) Sawn Timber (4407)
c) Particleboard/ Chipboard (4410)
d) Fibreboard (4411)
e) Plywood (4412)
Note: The RM 30.00 service fee imposed is subjected to every individual Import Permit application without taking the quantity, value, number of items or containers within the same application into account.

马来西亚木材工业局征收进口准证申请服务费
诚致全体 MFC 会员：
谨此通知，马来西亚木材工业局将从 2026 年 8 月 1 日（星期六）起，对每份木材及木制品进口准证（Import Permit）申请征收 RM30.00 服务费。
此项收费是依据《1973 年马来西亚木材工业局法令》（Act 105）第 20A 条文，该条文赋予 MTIB 就上述服务征收费用的法定权力。
此外，进口准证申请必须于货物抵达入境口岸前完成办理。
受此规定管辖的木材产品如下：
a）原木／未经加工木材（4403）
b）锯材（407）
c）刨花板／木屑板（4410）
d）纤维板（4411）
e）胶合板（4412）
备注：所征收的 RM30.00 服务费将针对每一份进口准证申请收取，不会根据同一申请内的数量、价值、产品数量或货柜数量进行计算。相关费用可透过无现金方式支付至附件所列示的 MTIB 银行账户。
