Notice of MTC Import Assistance Programme 2026 Application

Dear esteemed MFC members,

For your information, MTC has informed that applications for the Import Assistance Programme (IAP) for 2026 will be open from December 1, 2025 onwards.

Among the main requirements are such as:

a) The company being incorporated in Malaysia and based in Peninsula Malaysia with own manufacturing facilities;

b) Company shall be Malaysian-owned (at least 51% shareholding)

c) Eligible for both SME and non-SME with annual revenue below RM 100 million and are not public listed

d) Member of either one of the 6 timber associations (MFC, MWIA, MWMJC, MPMA, TEAM & PEKA)

Note: Kindly take note that Companies within the same group or with common shareholders but different core businesses are eligible to apply for up to a maximum of 2 companies per group of companies and/or reimbursement up to RM 220,000.00 subject to reimbursement rates.

Among the key notes to take of the reimbursement rates are as below (kindly view attachment for further details):

For SME

a) A maximum of 2,000 m³ per company with the 1st tier of 1,000 m³, 2nd tier of 500m³ and 3rd tier of 500m³ originating from various regions and countries at their respective rates (from RM 40/m³ to RM 100/ m³).

b) For timber materials imported from Thailand the rate is RM 30/m³

c) For timber raw materials imported as components/ minimal value added process the rate is RM 30/m³

Non – SME

a) A maximum of 1,000 m³ per company at RM 100/m³ for import of logs and sawntimber from Sabah and Sarawak only

Local Trader (SME)

Category I

a) A maximum of 1,500 m³ per company with the 1st tier (500m³) and 2nd tier (1,000 m³) at a rate of RM 30/m³ – RM 40/m³.

Category II

a) A flat rate of RM 40/m³

b) Timber raw materials imported as component/ minimal value- added processes at the rate of RM 30/m³

c) For timber materials imported from Thailand the rate is RM 30/m³

2026 年 MTC 进口援助计划（IAP）申请通知

诚致全体 MFC 会员，

谨此通知，马来西亚木材理事会公布从 2025 年 12 月 1 日起接受 2026 年进口援助计划（IAP）的申请。

主要申请条件如下：

a) 公司须在马来西亚注册并设于马来西亚半岛，且拥有自己的制造设施；

b) 公司须为马来西亚人持有（至少 51% 股权）；

c) 适用于中小企业（SME）及非中小企业，年营业额低于 1 亿令吉，且非上市公司；

d) 必须是以下六个木业相关公会之一的会员（MFC、MWIA、MWMJC、MPMA、TEAM、PEKA）。

注意事项：

属于同一集团或具共同股东、但核心业务不同的公司，可申请最多两家公司，并可获得最高 RM 220,000.00 的报销（须符合报销率规定）。

报销率重点如下（详情请参阅附件）：

中小企业（SME）

a) 每家公司最高可获 2,000 m³ 的额度，从不同的地区和国家进口，分为：第一阶段：1,000 m³；第二阶段：500 m³；第三阶段：500 m³（报销率介于 RM 40/m³ 至 RM 100/m³）。

b) 从泰国进口的木材材料，报销率为 RM 30/m³。

c) 以组件形式或仅进行最低增值加工方式进口的木材原料，报销率为 RM 30/m³。

非中小企业（Non-SME）

a) 每家公司最高可获 1,000 m³的额度，报销率为 RM 100/m³（仅限进口来自沙巴及砂拉越的原木或锯材）。

本地贸易商（中小企业） Local Traders (SME)

类别 I（Category I）

a) 每家公司最高可获 1,500 m³的额度，分为：第一阶段：500 m³； 第二阶段：1,000 m³ （报销率介于RM 30/m³ 至 RM 40/m³）。

类别 II（Category II）

a) 固定报销率：RM 40/m³

b) 以组件或最低增值加工方式进口的木材原料：RM 30/m³

c) 从泰国进口的木材原料：RM 30/m³
