Dear Esteemed Members,
Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting 2026 (AGM 2026) of the Malaysian Furniture Council (MFC) will be held on JUNE 5, 2026. In conjunction with the AGM 2026 will be the election of the Governing Committee Members (GCM) for the term 2026/2029. The details of the AGM 2026 are as follows: -
Date : June 5, 2026 (Friday)
Time : 2.00 PM (Registration & Lunch 12.00 PM)
Venue : Foyer, Level 20, Menara PGRM Tower 1, No 8, Jalan Pudu Ulu, 56100 KL

Valid MFC members are hereby invited to nominate eligible MFC Ordinary Members for the election of GCM 2026/2029 and submit motions for discussion and motions for amendments to the MFC Rules and Constitution (if any) to be tabled at the AGM 2026. All motions must be accompanied with relevant background information including a rationale for the amendment and submitted in English language.
All motions and nomination forms must reach the Honorary Secretary General at the MFC Secretariat on or before 4.30 PM on MAY 22, 2026. All nominations and motions received will be subject to the MFC GC's verification and approval prior to being tabled at the AGM 2026.
ALL MFC MEMBERS MUST ENSURE THE VALIDITY OF THEIR MFC MEMBERSHIP BY PAYING THEIR MFC SUBSCRIPTION 2026 AND OTHER DUES ON OR BEFORE MAY 22, 2026. IN ORDER TO BE ENTITLED TO ATTEND, VOTE, APPOINT A PROXY, NOMINATE AND / OR BE NOMINATED AT THE AGM 2026.
The Agenda of the AGM 2026 including minutes, reports, motions, nominations, and audited accounts will be sent to all members seven (7) days before the AGM 2026. If you do not receive the above, kindly inform the MFC Secretariat immediately.

Reading the notice of the MFC Annual General Meeting 2026 brought back memories of my undergraduate days. Then managing courses and responsibilities felt really overwhelming. Now I'm a PhD student.
