Notice on updated MTIB Registration Guideline for Exporters

Dear esteemed MFC members,

For your information, MTIB has updated its Registration Guideline. This guideline has come into effect since January 2, 2026. The updates are mostly related to the new registration and renewal of the export license for Exporters.

Among the updates under the Exporter category are such as:

a) A paid-up capital from RM 50,000 – RM 250,000 for Sdn Bhd (local and foreign owned);

b) Provide a copy of the factory license or if the owner does not have a factory premise, a copy of the timber supply agreement between the applicant and registered supplier under MTIB.

To view on further details of the Paid-up capital for exporters, kindly go to page 12 (Lampiran I) of the attachment while the definition of the timber supply agreement can be viewed at page 13 (Lampiran I) of the attachment provided.

Also please be noted that under this updated guideline, the decision of the MTIB DG regarding the appeal for renewal and new applications are final.

马来西亚木材工业局出口商注册指南更新

诚致全体 MFC 会员，

谨此通知，马来西亚木材工业局已更新其注册指南，并已于 2026 年 1 月 2 日 起正式生效。本次更新内容主要涉及出口商（Exporter）出口执照的新申请及续期要求。

在出口商类别下的主要更新内容包括（但不限于）：

a) 私人有限公司（Sdn. Bhd.，包括本地及外资公司）的实缴资本须介于 RM50,000 至 RM250,000 之间;

b) 需提供工厂执照副本；若申请人没有工厂，则需提交申请人与已向 MTIB 注册的供应商之间的木材供应协议副本。

有关出口商实缴资本的详细要求，请参阅附件 第 12 页（Lampiran I） ；而有关木材供应协议的定义说明，则可参阅附件 第 13 页（ Lampiran I） 。

另请注意，在本次更新的指南中，MTIB 总监针对新申请及续期申请所作出的上诉决定将为 最终决定。
