Support Malaysia's Participation in EXPO 2020 DUBAI

The Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) is requesting support for Malaysia’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, which will be held from 20thOctober 2020 until 10th April 2021. With the theme Connecting Minds, Creating the Future, Expo 2020 aims to advance the connections between three sub-themes that are fundamentally shaping our world: ensuring Opportunity for People and communities; furthering the promise of physical and virtual Mobility, and ensuring a future Sustainability for all.


MPI strongly believe that this Expo is an excellent platform for furniture industry players to highlight its achievements and capabilities in the areas of sustainable production and to explore the un-tapped opportunities in the region of UAE.


In this regard, Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) Malaysian Pavilion activities for this Expo is from 20thto 31st October 2020 and MPI is inviting corporate sponsors to highlight the Malaysian agri-commodity product under an Umbrella Package which provides sponsorship option according to the level of exposure and activities. Please refer to attachment for detailed information.


Moreover, your esteem participation will also qualify for a tax exemption under Section 44(11c)(a)(b) of the Income Tax Act 1967 as per details below:

  • 7% tax deduction from the aggregate income for individual sponsorships;

  • 10% tax deductions from aggregate income for company sponsorships;

  • The contributors are eligible to claim income tax deductions where contribution made in the year of assessment;

  • Display and Exhibit at the Malaysia Pavilion (82.6 sqm – canopy 2);

  • Participate in MPI Key Event: Malaysia International Sustainable Agri-Commodity Conference (1 Day International Conference focusing on trade and investment);

  • Participation in Selected Key Events organized by Malaysia Pavilion at the World Expo 2020; and

  • Malaysia Day: Event Invites & Promotions of Products through door gifts and VVIP gifts.
