Dear esteemed MFC members,
As you all already know, since January 4, 2021 it is mandatory for furniture exporters to register with MTIB. Furniture companies in general are basically involved in activities such as Supplier, Exporter, Importer and Trader.
MTIB has recently released a letter stating that the requirement is now being expanded to Supplier Activities/ Aktiviti Pembekal which refers to the supplying of furniture and furniture components for the purpose of export. This is to ensure the supply chain of timber products can be regulated.
Therefore, the application and enforcement of this Exporter and Supplier Activities/ Aktiviti Pengeksport dan Pembekal will begin on December 1, 2021 (Wednesday) in accordance to the decision of the Mesyuarat Pengurusan Tertinggi (MPT) Bil 16/2021.

更新：马来西亚木材工业局（MTIB）强制家具出口商向MTIB注册登记
诚致全体 MFC 会员:
谨此通知，马来西亚木材工业局（MTIB）已于 2021 年 1 月 4 日起，强制性家具出口商必须向 MTIB 注册。这包括了家具供应商、出口商、进口商和贸易商等。
MTIB 最近发出的公告中指出，所有涉及出口家具和家具组件活动的供应商，也必须进行登记。主要目的是为了确保木材产品的供应链可以受到监管。
因此，根据 MTIB Mesyuarat Pengurusan Tertinggi (MPT) Bil 16/2021 的议决，有关此强制性申请和执法将于 2021 年 12 月 1 日（星期三）开始施行。
